It's been a while....

since I wrote anything. Boy I am a slacker. Since my last entry, we bought a house. I like it. It is really cute and it finally feels like home. I would post a pic , but I haven't figured out how to do it yet. Brian was retired and is now working a gs job. He has been doing alright. It has been 3 weeks since school ended. I have got nothing accomplished. I had to put my dog down and have found a puppy. We get to pick her up July 12. Brian wasn't overly thrilled about a puppy, but I think it was because I didn't ask him outright about it. He knew, but didn't get it. I guess it's a man thing. He has been a bit distant lately. I think he is adjusting to all the change that has been going on lately. Can't really get mad at him. A lot has happened.

On another note......There is something I would love to do. I would love to just hang out with my sister. (I know she will be reading this and will now have a big head. If you see her, move over so there is room for her head to pass!) I wish we lived closer to each other. It would be nice to go do things together. I tried to get her to come out here this summer. Even threw the beach in there, but no go. Oh well, maybe next year.

Devin is now 12 and is this moody pre-teen. I don't remember being that moody. She doesn't want to do much of anything. She about looks me in the eye. I feel so short next to her. Megan is as head-strong as ever. She does what she does and there isn't much you can do to change it. She is in swimming lessons and is not wanting to go. If she doesn't feel like doing something, she is not the most fun to be around.

Oh well, I will try not to let 6 months pass before the next entry. Later.....

My Friend

I have a friend that will be moving soon. I really hate thinking about it. I will sorely miss her. She accepts me for who I am and pushes me to my limits without making me feel bad about myself. She understands me and all of my little quirks. She has introduced me to a side of the world (the fancy side) that I thought I would never be a part of. I remember the first time I met her. She was painting in her room. We were both at new teacher orientation and she would not let me sit by myself. She made me come sit with all the new teachers at my school. She also had my oldest in her class. She brought her out of her shell as she has with me. And her family has let me into their lives and they have become like an extended family. Sarah, I will miss you!

The weekend can't come fast enough!

I am so ready for the weekend. Grades are due this week and it is always hectic trying to get all of the grades done and recorded. Usually, your kids will not let you work and as hard as you try, you get nothing accomplished. At least tomorrow the kids won't be there and I can get some work done. I am so tired of the kids not doing their work. I tore into them today about it. They don't really understand how bad it is. AHHHHH!!!!!! AND.......testing is just around the corner. what fun! Monday, Monday

Boy today is Monday. I am so tired. My legs hurt today. I am not used to walking so much since I haven't been able to walk much. I had a good day today, though. My kids were not bad today in class. I have some papers to grade, :-(

It is also a sad day. My oldest daughter is only a few inches shorter than me. Pretty soon, I will be looking up at my baby. I realized yesterday that I still haven't grown up!! Man, she makes me feel short.

Put Your Best Foot Forward

OK, I only have one good foot, but soon to have two!!! I got my stitches out today! Yea me!!! On the 19 of Dec. I will get the pin out of my foot too!! AWESOME!!! I can walk in time for Christmas!!! (and do last minute shopping) Guys, have a great day!!!

It's About Time

OK, my sister has been on my back because I haven't written on here in a while. I am writing now. Update....I had surgery on my left foot last Friday. There is this big huge pin sticking out of it to keep my bone together. It doesn't hurt that much at the moment. I am on crutches and can't walk either. That is what makes everything harder. I am really tired right now. I would love to just take a nap. I am hungry too. guess I should find some food to eat. Until next time....

Lately....

I have had a headache for 3 days now. I think it is stress or tension. It just won't go away. My neck is sore. I am ready to go home. Just something about being in your own house and getting back into the routine (which I don't have right now). I am excited about hanging at my sis's house for a day. I get to see her about 1-2 times a year. I would love to live closer to her so we could do more stuff together, Just don't tell her. She might get a big head. :-)

Tomorrow, the last Harry Potter book comes out and I will not be home to get it. I think I might need to make a Wal-Mart run before I head back to FL. I love Harry Potter. I would not say that I am the biggest fan, but I do like it. I actually read those books. Not into many other books. Well, nothing else comes to mind, so later.
